Our journey in the access control space started when the founders visited a building management room and saw a wall full of Door controllers and the amount of wiring needed to deploy such systems. That day they decided to change the way physical access control systems are deployed and used. This led to the birth of a controller-less and a fully wireless access control platform from Spintly.

The idea for Spintly took root in the last quarter of the year 2017. Right from the beginning, the two founders; Rohin and Malcolm, aspired together to build a product company that would solve problems.
It started with a quest to find the right problem; one that was concrete enough to warrant a solution and one that they could leverage their skills and knowledge to solve. They also felt that they should do something to give back to their country by tackling the brain drain issue of India’s bright minds. There was a lack of challenging technical opportunities in core product development areas.

Spintly is built upon firm values that foster innovation and continuous improvement. The founders took a special interest in developing local talent from surrounding universities and training them to develop world class skill sets in wireless technology and software development. Their team consists of young passionate minds that do not consider what they do as just a job. It is a community where the thirst for knowledge and hunger to solve problems is highly valued.
THE GAME PLAN
Spintly offers a BLE mesh-enabled IoT platform for managing access points like doors, gates, and rooms using touch-based biometric log-in. They extended this to a SaaS solution utilizing the data collected, which finds applications in attendance and facility management. By employing cloud-based machine learning, they provide insights from the data collected by IoT devices. This system enables tracking of employee movement, room occupancy rates in hotels, and more.
THE FUTURE
Spintly aims to be a global player in the fast growing Smart Access Control and smart buildings industry. The physical security industry is predicted to grow to USD 102 billion in 2024 with a CAGR of 11%. The acceptance of smart phone based access control systems and the growing recognition of the convenience and intelligence of such cloud-based platforms is fuelling the growth of this industry.

Rohin Parkar
Rohin Parkar is the Co-Founder & CEO of Spintly, specializing in access control and smart buildings. With 16+ years of wireless technology expertise, he leads the development of Spintly’s IoT platform, driving innovation in mobile and cloud-based access solutions. Rohin’s leadership spans product development, marketing, sales, and customer success. He’s dedicated to simplifying access control, making buildings smarter and safer through wireless mesh, APIs, and cloud computing advancements. As a member of Thread Group and Bluetooth SIG, Rohin actively contributes to wireless mesh standardization for building automation.

Malcolm Dsouza
Malcolm Dsouza is the Co-founder and CTO of Spintly, driving smart access control solutions. With 16+ years’ experience, he co-founded Spintly in 2018, overseeing product development, marketing, sales, and customer success. Malcolm contributes to wireless mesh technology advancement through groups like Thread Group and Bluetooth SIG. His goal is to enhance buildings with Spintly’s IoT platform for mobile and cloud-based access.

Santhosh Ranganathan
Santhosh Ranganathan is the CRO at Spintly, with 19 years of experience across Hospitality, Airline, Furniture Rental, and Wireless Access Control industries. Skilled in revenue growth, customer experience, and business strategies, he has successfully built scalable processes and teams. With a background in leadership roles at various companies including Furlenco and Indigo Airlines, Santhosh is known for his commitment to customer delight and organizational success.
